Itinerary
DAY 1.
Welcome to Finca Luna Nueva Lodge. Today you will be able to explore our hotel grounds, enjoy a fresh farm to table Dinner and have a relaxing night’s sleep in the rainforest.
DAY 2.
As the sound of birds awaken you, an ample breakfast buffet will be waiting for you at the restaurant. At 9am the farm tour will start. Here you will learn how we use our resources to run a regenerative farm to table ecolodge. After your tour enjoy a delicious lunch and have free time in the afternoon to take a walk, swim in the pool or relax in our solar heated Jacuzzi.
DAY 3.
After breakfast you will enjoy our Organic Chocolate Tour. Our guide will share with you the history of Cacao while preparing the most delicious hot cocoa, but that’s not all, at the end of the tour you can consider yourself a chocolatier when you prepare the chocolate bars with your favorite toppings.
After Dinner we will meet again at our reception desk at 7 pm, to discover the amazing world of the rainforest at night. While learning about the natural history, you will encounter frogs, birds and other really interesting creatures.
DAY 4.
To add a little bit of adventure to your rainforest experience, today you will be able to choose between flying on top of the trees on one of the best ziplines in Costa Rica or you can hike to the amazing Fortuna waterfall.
Enjoy lunch in the town of Fortuna and have some time to buy souvenirs or just walk around. You will be picked up later in the day to return to our lodge and dine with us.
DAY 5.
Today you will visit the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge located near the border of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. You will take a boat and travel the river where you will have a chance to see many species of birds and other wildlife. Lunch is included with your tour. You will arrive to our lodge in the late afternoon to enjoy a dinner with us.
DAY 6.
Today is your last day of adventure. You will have some free time if you want to book an extra tour or if you want to relax before traveling back home.

Today we added some more adventure to your itinerary. You can choose from kayaking on the Lake Arenal, pedal boarding or hiking the hanging bridges.
You will have lunch in Fortuna and head back to the hotel, at night we will have a special dinner prepared exclusively for you.
DAY 6.
Today you will wake up with the rising sun, ready to go on our special birding tour. More than 250 species of birds have been sighted on our farm and you will be guided by an expert who will show you the wonders of the rainforest.
After lunch you have free time to relax or book an extra tour. In the evening you will visit the hotsprings to have a nice relaxing evening before your travels tomorrow.
