Itinerary:
Day 1. Arrival at our Ecolodge.
Arrive at Finca Luna Nueva Lodge, you’ll settle into cozy accommodations surrounded by lush rainforest. Enjoy a welcome drink made with local fruits and herbs before a brief orientation about the lodge and your itinerary.
Later, savor a farm-to-table dinner featuring fresh produce from our regenerative farm. End your day by relaxing to the soothing sounds of the rainforest.
Day 2. Connecting with Costa Rican Traditions.
Start your day with a traditional Costa Rican breakfast, featuring fresh fruit, eggs, bread, and gallo pinto.
Afterward, embark on a guided tour of our regenerative farm, where you’ll learn about regenerative farming practices and our farm-to-table program. Enjoy a delicious farm-to-table lunch before diving into a hands-on cooking class to make traditional Costa Rican corn tortillas on our wooden stove.
Spend your afternoon relaxing by the pool or exploring the scenic trails, and wrap up the day with a delightful dinner at the lodge.
Day 3. Cow Milking Experience and a Visit to La Esperanza Family-Owned Coffee Farm.
Begin your day early with a unique cow-milking activity at the Regenerative Dairy farm, followed by a hearty traditional Costa Rican breakfast featuring freshly made tortillas and gallo pinto.
After breakfast, depart for La Esperanza Coffee Farm, where you’ll tour the plantation and learn about the journey of coffee from bean to cup. Engage in hands-on activities like harvesting (seasonal) or roasting before returning to the lodge for a delicious farm-to-table lunch. This is a special family owned farm from the community.
In the afternoon, you can opt for a fun and interactive Chocolate Tour (at an additional cost), or simply relax before ending the day with a delightful dinner at the lodge.
Day 4. Visit the Local Farmers Market in Town.
After a delicious breakfast, set out to explore the nearby local farmers market, where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant culture, meet friendly local vendors, and savor the flavors of fresh produce and handmade goods.
Take the opportunity to purchase unique Costa Rican products that capture the essence of the region.
For lunch, indulge in authentic Costa Rican cuisine at a traditional “Soda”, where hearty, flavorful traditional dishes await.
Return to Finca Luna Nueva Lodge for some well-deserved rest, reflecting on a day rich in experiences. In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner at the lodge, rounding off your full immersion into Costa Rican life.
Day 5. Rest and Rejuvenation.
Spend your morning relaxing by the pool or treating yourself to a rejuvenating rainforest-inspired spa experience (available at an additional cost).
In the afternoon, join us for an engaging herbal medicine workshop, where you’ll create your own herbal tinctures and gain insight into the many benefits of medicinal plants grown right here on our farm.
End your day with a delightful dinner and a peaceful evening at the lodge, surrounded by the serene sounds of the rainforest.
Day 6. Travel back home with great memories!
