Our regenerative farm practices “Syntropic” farming, heavily reliant on a myriad of trees, vines, and shrubs that are collecting sunlight from the ground all the way up to the top of the canopy. And these plants need to be pollinated, and for that we turn to our native stingless bees – the “wildstock” of our farm.
These beautiful bees have the appetite for all this biodiversity – in fact, they can’t live without it – and they have the wings to take them up to the top of the canopy.
On this tour you’ll learn about stingless bees and see where and how they live. Remember: they’re stingless and harmless: it’s perfectly safe! You’ll gain appreciation for their social life and what they need from us, the caretakers of their environment. And you’ll taste the sweet and uncommon medicinal honey made by mariola bees, known as the “little angels of the rainforest.”
